At the moment, Albania is considered one of the cheapest countries in Europe, with all the ensuing consequences. The tourist flow is still small, but this is a matter of time and literally in 3-5 years Albania can be put on a par with such popular tourist countries as Croatia, Montenegro, Bulgaria (I mean the level of service, but in terms of natural beauties and attractions Albania is not inferior to them).

There are a number of countries in which it is more profitable to go on vacation with the help of travel companies, but Albania is not one of them, it is better to go to this country on your own, refusing the services of intermediaries. The first step is to resolve the issue of transport. Some desperate tourists say that you can go to the country in your own car, but I do not adhere to this point of view and prefer airplanes. Flight prices can be different, and it all depends on how much free time you have left, since the earlier you start looking for tickets, the more profitable the flight will be. It is often more profitable to fly with transfers (for example, via Istanbul). Pay attention to the offers of different low-cost airlines and in total you can save from 20 to 50%.

Budget tourists rarely stay in hotels, more often such travelers prefer to rent an apartment. In Albania, you can rent a good apartment in good condition with hot water, furniture, appliances, an equipped kitchen from 15 to 25 euros per day (depending on the city and season). It is not worth postponing the search for such housing, it is best to go to Albania and know that you have already booked an apartment, various rental services offer plenty of options.

Tourists who prefer not to stay in one place for a long time, traveling to different regions of the country, most often rent a car. The cost of a daily rental starts from 20-25 euros per day, and this makes it possible to independently plan your time and route, without being tied to public transport. Every year the quality of Albanian roads is improving, and now they look much better than ours, so traveling in a rented car will not cause trouble (except in some remote regions where civilization reaches very slowly). As an alternative to rented cars, you can consider traveling by bus, the bus network of which is quite well developed, and there is a railway connection between the big cities of the country.

If you rent an apartment with a kitchen, you can buy food in shops, supermarkets, markets and cook your own food. But in Albania, you can eat inexpensively in a cafe, where lunch will cost 3-5 euros per person (no frills), and a street snack will be even cheaper.

A trip to Albania is not too expensive, and if you start planning it in advance, you can relax as much as possible on a budget.
