The National Museum of Medieval Art of Korce was founded in 1980 and contains about 7,000 exhibits of immense historical and cultural significance. Stone, metal, wood and fabric items from the iconography of Albania are presented. There are also collections of paintings from the Korce school. Located in the Korce Cathedral, the museum is an attraction for lovers of history and art. Museum art objects range from anonymous religious icons from the 13th and 14th centuries, as well as well-known works by well-known artists such as; Onufri, Eromak Shpataraku, David Selenica, Onufer Kiprioti, Master Kostadini and the Zografi brothers, among many others. This museum collection is certainly one of the best in all of Albania.
