Paragliding as an aviation sport dates back to 1990. The topographic conditions and nature of Albania offer many opportunities for paragliding and related sports. The most popular and best place for paragliding are the slopes of Llogori in the south of Albania, given the favorable wind direction. Llogara is also popular with international sports practitioners and is used as a meeting place by paratroopers. In addition to Mount Llogara, paratroopers can paragliding in Morava, near Korce, on Mount Datti in Tirana and on Mount Tarabos in Shkodra.
