Located on the Balkan Peninsula in southeastern Europe, Albania is close to major European markets and easily accessible by air, land and sea.
THROUGH THE AIR
The only airport in Albania with international connections is Mother Teresa International Airport, located in Rinas, just 17 km northwest of Tirana. The most convenient way to get from the airport to Tirana is by taxi. The journey from Tirana to the airport takes twenty to thirty minutes, depending on traffic, and costs about 2,500 medicines (or 20 euros) one way. Kukes Airport (Northern Albania) will also open soon and Vlora Airport (Southern Albania) will be built.
The Rinas Express bus runs hourly from 06:00 to 18:00 as an hourly bus service between the airport and the National Museum in the center of Tirana. The cost of one journey is 250 Albanian medicines.
