Albania is a relatively new but rapidly growing tourist destination. Everyone chooses their own season for holidays in this country, based on certain preferences, but it is still generally accepted that the low season in this country is the period from November to March, but this does not mean that it is not possible to go to the country at this time costs. In other words, we can say that any season has its advantages, besides, if you come to the country during the low season, you can save a lot on vacation.
In total, the sun in the country shines for about 300 days a year, and not every state can boast of this. The best time for a trip can be called the period from the beginning of May or even mid-April to the end of September, since at this time comfortable, summer weather is established in the country. But even in October, there are still many tourists in the country.
If we talk about winter, then all three winter months belong to the low tourist season, but from a budgetary point of view, this is the most profitable time to travel. It is unlikely that you will be able to swim in the sea in winter, since the water temperature is around 15 degrees (although there are daredevils who are not at all embarrassed). But even in winter in Albania it is quite possible to sunbathe. The weather at this time is capricious, so if you like hiking and trips to the mountains, you may not get the proper pleasure from your vacation.
In recent years, the number of tourists who come to Albania during the New Year and Christmas holidays has increased. On the one hand, there is an opportunity to celebrate these holidays at comfortable temperatures, listening to birdsong, and on the other hand, you can go to the mountains and plunge into real winter with snow, skiing and other essential attributes of a winter holiday.
With the advent of spring, Albania changes significantly, everything around blooms, the air is filled with pleasant aromas, and the thermometer is approaching the 20-degree mark already in March. Among the shortcomings of the first half of spring, one can only single out the fact that at this time there is a high probability of rain (most rain falls on the month of March). If you want to combine acquaintance with the country with a beach holiday, then it is best to go to Albania in early May. Usually by this time the waters of the Adriatic Sea warm up to comfortable temperatures.
But still, Albania can please with a full-fledged beach holiday from the second half of June to mid-September. At this time, the water in the Adriatic Sea warms up to 23-24 degrees and above. The hottest month is July and the first half of August. The air temperature in summer is stable at around 28 to 33 degrees, and sometimes rises above 35. If you do not tolerate the heat, then it is best to choose another time for the trip.
If your vacation falls in autumn, then this time is also a good time to relax in Albania. Almost all of September, the beach season continues in Albanian resorts, and October is great for an excursion program, especially since there is something to see in the country. Whatever corner of Albania you visit, you will find something interesting and colorful everywhere. November, just like March, is characterized by changeable weather and a lot of precipitation, so it is undesirable to travel to the country during these months.
